Wood staining (So easy, but still takes practice)

November 2014: My first attempt at wood staining. In preparation for my Mod Podge canvas project.

What we have here are 10 inch wood letters (that I got from Target). M for my brother, Malik. And X for my mother Xenia.

 

My very first attempt using Miniwax Dark Walnut wood staining wipes that I picked up at AC Moore, thinking this would be fast and easy. Ugh!

Back to the drawing board. So glad I discovered that applying wood stain with cloth or a foam brush is far more ideal. One of many VidaDIY craft trial and error lessons. V-
