Bedroom closet wall butterflies

November 5, 2014: The new look of the bedroom (with the new main color, the removal of carpet, exposing wood floors, and the new roman shade window treatment) inspired me to find more ways to decorate our space with fresh, unique updates.

The butterfly blank cards from Papyrus became my inspiration for putting butterflies on the wall.

While creating butterfly paper embellishments for some thank you cards, I decided to try using them in our bedroom decor somehow.
I came up with the idea of using wood laminate square samples (in different shades) and applying them to the wall that divides our closets in a checkerboard pattern. I used Command tabs to attach the laminate squares to the wall
I then added a blue paper butterfly of different squares using a foam sticker.

This is not be the most avant-guard wall accent one would come across. But I like them. It makes our space uniquely ours. It’s simple, pretty, personal and fun. Which is what I like about it. V-
